Canadian Premier League Celebrates #WEAREONECOMMUNITY
Canadian Premier League

Our country is going through an unprecedented time of challenge and transformation.  More than ever, it needs to find its unified voice. Today, the Canadian Premier League celebrates that voice with #WeAreOneCommunity.

Community engagement has been a core value of the Canadian Premier League since the very beginning.  From the local culture and history that infused each club’s unique identity, to the many supporters’ groups who mobilized and unified long before a football was even kicked on their home field.

Focusing on making a powerful impact on the community, helping to bring positive change and building on the healthy relationship between our eight clubs and their communities is of the utmost importance. Whether it be in-season or in the new pandemic world we live in, community engagement is a priority for all the Canadian Premier League Clubs.

#WeAreOneCommunity is a league-wide platform that highlights all of the efforts that players, coaches, the clubs and the league are making and is supported by a 90-second video designed to inspire Canadians who love soccer as much as we do to believe in our collective future, to stay engaged and to celebrate our strength, unity and victory together. Produced in partnership with Offside Creative WeAreOneCommunity is inspired by the words that define us, We Are Many, We Are One! Divided on the field, but united in our hearts, we celebrate our shared passion for the world’s most loved game and remind us how important our soccer community of fans, players, clubs, partners, and supporters are.

Our CPL Clubs continue to bring together and engage with our fans, supporters and our communities across the country. Our players, coaches and clubs are both sharing messaging focused on stopping the spread and staying home and sharing personal experiences from home. Providing fun and engaging content that will keep the connection to our fans during the postponement of the season and of course celebrating the “heroes” who are fighting on the frontlines.

“We want our return to soccer to help unite fans across Canada and to be a symbol of Canadian unity from a League For Canadians, By Canadians,” said Canadian Premier League Commissioner, David Clanachan. “While we wait, we want to emphasize to our fans and supporters that we will get through this together because now more than ever, WeAreOneCommunity.”
