Forge FC striker Woobens Pacius scored his fourth goal in sixth matches Wednesday to give his side a 1-0 win over Atlético Ottawa at TD Place in Ottawa.
The young striker’s effort on the end of a brilliant ball from Elimane Cisse was all the two-time CPL champions needed to grab all three points.
With the result, Forge maintain a playoff pace as they draw level with table-toppers Pacific FC and Cavalry FC on 31 points with a game at hand. Ottawa, meanwhile, remains bottom of the CanPL standings with 13 points.
Atlético Ottawa are back at home on Saturday, September 11, taking on HFX Wanderers (1:30 pm ET/ 2:30 pm AT). Forge head back home to Hamilton for a 905 Derby with York United later that day (4 pm ET).
