The Canadian Premier League (CPL) announced that three of our standout players, Daniel Parra, Tristan Borges, and Kwasi Poku, have been named to the Gatorade Team of the Week for Week 8 of the CPL season. This recognition comes on the heels of an impressive 3-0 victory over York United FC on Saturday, June 1.

Daniel Parra: Defensive Rock and Goal Scorer

Daniel Parra has been a crucial component of Forge FC’s defensive unit this season, and his performance against York United FC was no exception. Parra not only contributed significantly to the team’s clean sheet but also showcased his versatility by scoring a goal. His defensive prowess was evident with four critical tackles that stifled the opposition’s attack, ensuring Forge FC’s third clean sheet of the season. Tristan Borges: Midfield Maestro

Tristan Borges continues to be a formidable force in the midfield, setting the pace for Forge FC’s dynamic play. Borges found the back of the net once again, scoring his third goal of the season. Beyond his goal-scoring ability, Borges created two key chances in the match, demonstrating his playmaking skills. With three goals and a league-leading four assists this season, Borges has been instrumental in driving Forge FC’s offensive success. Kwasi Poku: Assisting Excellence
