The Canadian Premier League announced Wednesday that Forge FC midfielder Kyle Bekker has been named a CPL Player of the Month for July.

Bekker, 32, recorded three assists and was monumental to Forge FC’s 3-0-1 (W-L-D) record in the month of July. He has been included in the past five consecutive Gatorade Team of the Week squads. The native of Oakville, Ontario is currently ranked first in assists in the CPL with a total of six.
