FORGE FC’S PATHWAYS TO A NORTH STAR CUP

Forge FC’s path to the North Star Cup begins on Saturday, October 14, at ATCO Field in Calgary, Alberta, where the club will take on Cavalry FC in the CPL Semifinal. Depending on the result of the match, Forge FC will have two potential routes to the North Star Cup.

Path #1

If Forge FC emerges victorious against Cavalry FC on October 14 in the first semifinal, the club will earn the right to host the CPL Finals at Tim Hortons Field on Saturday, October 28. The opponent they face in the final will depend on the results of the remaining bracket. Cavalry FC will go head-to-head with the winner of HFX Wanderers FC and Pacific FC in the second Semifinal match, ultimately determining Forge FC’s opponent in the CPL Finals. This championship showdown between Forge FC and the winner of the second semifinal will decide which club raises the North Star Cup for the first time.

Path #2

Should Forge FC be defeated by Cavalry FC on October 14 in the first semifinal, the club will be granted another opportunity to compete for the championship by hosting the second semifinal at Tim Hortons Field on Saturday, October 21. Forge would face off against the winner of HFX Wanderers FC and Pacific FC in the second semifinal, with the victor advancing to the CPL Finals to take on Cavalry FC at ATCO Field. The CPL finals showdown between Cavalry FC and the winner of the second semifinal will determine which club raises the North Star Cup for the first time.
