Forge FC Supports Team Hamilton for the 56th International Children’s Games
Forge FC is thrilled to announce its support for Team Hamilton as they gear up to compete in the 56th International Children’s Games (ICG) in Leon, Mexico, from July 15 to 20, 2024.
The ICG is the largest international youth sports event in the world, with over 1,500 participants from more than 80 cities and 40 countries. Recognized by the International Olympic Committee, the Games offer a unique platform for young athletes to showcase their talents and build international friendships.
“We are incredibly proud to support and empower Hamilton youth sports,” said Nicole Demers, Vice President of Business Operations at Forge FC. “This is a fantastic opportunity for these young athletes to develop their skills, create lasting memories, and gain a deeper understanding of diverse cultures from around the world.”
In a show of support, Forge FC will provide the soccer team with uniforms for the competition and tracksuits for the entire Team Hamilton delegation. Additionally, Forge FC will honour and send off the team at the club’s match on Friday, July 5th, which coincides with our International Night match, celebrating global unity.
“This is truly an opportunity of a lifetime for these youth athletes,” added a Mark Wu Team Hamilton International representative. “We are not just developing their skill level but enabling youths to meet, develop friendships, and deeply understand each other’s cultures.”
Team Hamilton’s soccer team for the ICG includes standout players Santiago Ortega, Emanuel Oliveira, Sebastian Alfano, Mateo Murillo, Nico Angelini, Owen Beltrano, Kristian Cabraja, Coby King, and Misael Suarez. Players Ortega, Oliveria, Alfano, Murillo and King are all products of Forge FC’s Development Club, Hamilton United Elite, while Beltrano, Angelini, and Cabraja are products of Burlington SC, Forge FC’s newest partner club and Suarez comes from Ancaster.
