FORGE FC TO HOST FIRST LEG OF 2019 CPL FINALS ON OCTOBER 26 AT TIM HORTONS FIELD

Inaugural two-legged CPL Finals features Forge FC vs. Cavalry FC with matches in Hamilton & Calgary

Forge FC officially clinched the second spot in the inaugural Canadian Premier League Finals over the weekend with Saturday’s 3-0 home win over Pacific FC at Tim Hortons Field combined with York9 FC and Cavalry FC’s 1-1 draw at York Lions Stadium.

Forge FC will now square off against the CPL’s spring season winner, Cavalry FC, in the inaugural two-legged Canadian Premier League Finals. Tim Hortons Field will host the first leg between the teams October 26 before the second and final match a week later at Spruce Meadows – ATCO Field in Calgary on November 2. Official kickoff times for both games are to be determined.

With an 8-1-4 record and 28 points, Forge FC currently sits in first place in the CPL’s fall season standings. Only Forge FC and second-place Cavalry FC (7-1-5, 26 points) remain in the hunt to be crowned the fall season winner with just five games remaining.
