OVERALL RESPONSIBILITIES

Forge Football Club is a founding member of the Canadian Premier League (CPL) which began play at Tim Hortons Field in 2019. To ensure the long-term success of the club, Forge FC is looking for a motivated and committed sales representative to join our team.

The Account Executive, Group Sales & Service is responsible for generating new business ticket revenue with a focus on group sales and flex packs for the 2020 season. Responsibilities to include, but are not limited to, premium hospitality, suites, group sales and flex pack sales. The role is primarily focused on selling group packages through targeted prospecting, face to face meetings and personal networking. Specifically, the role is responsible for increasing revenue for the ticket sales and service team, while leveraging new and unique ideas that will create memorable experiences for fans.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The expectation is the candidate will be active and responsible for the following areas:

  • Responsible for selling group outing ticket packages, suites, and premium hospitality to corporations and the general public
  • Prospect, engage and close group sales through targeted prospecting, meetings and networking channels
  • Develop and implement effective sales techniques by applying sales and service best practices, networking, prospecting, referral gathering, and personal database management
  • Meet or exceed weekly/monthly/quarterly Ticketing Team revenue and prospecting goals
  • Work closely with the Ticket Operations Department to ensure accurate fulfillment of all ticket transactions
  • Participate in various Ticketing Team and community events as assigned
  • Maintain accurate records in support of ticket sales and service efforts as defined by the organization
  • Positively contribute to the overall culture of the sales team
  • Other Tasks/Duties – Actively participate in all organizational game day experiences; attend all home games and also assume other job function related duties not specifically defined in this job description as assigned by the candidate’s direct report

Measurements of Success

  1. Achieved or surpassed individual and Ticketing Team revenue goals
  2. Establish a qualified prospect base through internal provided data, cold-calling, meetings and networking
  3. Actively participate in all Ticketing Team meetings and events

QUALIFICATIONS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES, EXPERIENCE)

Job Specific Skills and Abilities:

  • The successful candidate will have an established personal and professional network of contacts in the Hamilton and Greater Hamilton Area
  • Must be a great communicator!
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Can create, develop and nurture relationships
  • Is positive, outgoing and enjoys sales!
  • Ability to multi-task and work under pressure in a fast paced environment
  • Is self-motivated and gets out of bed every day excited about coming to work and driving revenue
  • Must have a hunter mentality

Education and Experience:

  • Post-Secondary degree/diploma in marketing, business, sports administration or other related discipline is an asset
  • Sales experience preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite including PowerPoint, Word and Excel

OTHER CONSIDERATIONS

  • Will be required to work all events including weekends and evenings as necessary
  • Will be required to have access to a vehicle at all times

Manager, Ticket Sales and Service

The Hamilton Soccer Club is a founding member of the Canadian Premier League (CPL) and begins play for the Inaugural Season of the CPL in 2019. Our Club is actively seeking to build a team of motivated, committed sales representatives looking to join an exciting opportunity in the sports and entertainment industry. The team will be primarily focused on selling memberships, flex pack tickets, group and premium seating packages through targeted prospecting, face to face meetings and personal networks.

The Manager, Ticket Sales and Service will be responsible for achieving personal sales targets in memberships and ticket sales packages as well as the daily leadership and management of the sales team. The incumbent will be responsible for the training and education of team members, and assisting with the development and execution of ticket sales strategies.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Work in partnership with GM, Business Operations to create and execute ticket sales budget through the development of ticket sales inventory packages
  • Responsible for meeting and exceeding personal sales targets for season seat memberships, partial plans and group tickets
  • Meeting or exceeding weekly/monthly/quarterly team revenue and prospecting goals
  • Create a culture where people perform and enjoy their workplace by providing leadership in the following areas:
    1. Build a positive work environment that increases sales throughout the sales cycle
    2. Providing on-going training and education for all team members in the area of sales and service
    3. Attend on-site and off-site sales meetings with team member(s) to provide additional support and guidance.
    4. Leading by example in selling and renewing membership and group accounts
    5. Support the long-term development of your team members career goals
  • Develop and lead a customer engagement strategy for personal interactions between the sales team and membership holder to create personal relationships with our fans
  • Provide leadership to ensure that database / CRM is developed and maintained
  • Work closely with Ticket Operations department to ensure accurate fulfillment of all ticket transactions
  • Maintain accurate records in support of ticket sales and service efforts as defined by the organization
  • Other Tasks/Duties – Actively participate in game day experience for Hamilton Tiger-Cats and Hamilton Soccer; attend all Tiger-Cats home games and will also assume other job function related duties not specifically defined in this offer as assigned by the candidate’s direct report
QUALIFICATIONS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES, EXPERIENCE)

Job Specific Skills and Abilities:

  • 2-5 years of management experience, specifically in applied sales
  • Staff management in a fast paced, high volume environment
  • The successful candidate will have an established personal and professional network of contacts in the Hamilton and Greater Hamilton Area
  • Strong customer service skills and ability to ensure excellent customer care to both internal and external clients
  • Proven track record of success in meeting or exceeding revenue targets
  • Must be a great leader and communicator with the ability to communicate our organization’s mission and values
