FORGE FC MATCH DAY POSITIONS

Coordinator, Stadium Operations

9 months (March 15 – December 15, 2023)

 

OVERALL RESPONSIBILITIES

The Coordinator, Stadium Operations will provide a variety of services essential to the execution of all events at Tim Hortons Field. The primary focus of this position is the setup, execution, and teardown of all HSG events at Tim Hortons Field. Additionally, this individual will be responsible for providing operational support for all other departments in the Hamilton Sports Group. Work hours will include evenings and weekends depending on home games and scheduled events throughout the season.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The candidate will be active and responsible for the following areas:

  • Interview and hire the stadium operations team, comprised of up to 30 individuals
  • Serve as the operations team leader on Tiger-Cats and Forge FC gamedays
  • Daily management of the operations team, including hours, scheduling, training, and day-to-day task allocation
  • Coordinate the preparation of the stadium for all major events, including but not limited to, corporate and community activations, in-stadium signage, and all specialty seating areas
  • Setup and teardown all in-stadium meetings and non-football events, as outlined by the stadium calendar
  • Coordinate all HSG shipments at Tim Hortons Field
  • Oversee all aspects of stadium storage
  • Assist with supervising 3rd party contractors and partners
  • Supervise and assist aspects of stadium parking
  • Additional responsibilities as assigned by the Manager of Stadium Events and Operations

QUALIFICATIONS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES, EXPERIENCE)

Job Specific Skills and Abilities:

  • Must be an effective written and verbal communicator
  • Excellent leadership skills gained through past work experiences
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to multi-task, problem-solve, and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • A strong work ethic, and the ability to work well both individually and with a group
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs
  • Passion for football, soccer, and the Hamilton community

Education and Experience:

  • Minimum 1-2 years applied experience in the sport industry. Operational experience considered an asset.
  • Post-secondary degree/diploma in marketing, business, sports administration, or other related disciplines is an asset.

Account Executive, Ticket Sales & Service

Position Title: Account Executive, Ticket Sales & Service
Department: Ticket Sales & Service

OVERALL RESPONSIBILITIES
Forge Football Club is a founding member of the Canadian Premier League (CPL) which began play at Tim Hortons Field in 2019. To ensure the long-term success of the club, Forge FC is looking for a motivated and committed sales representative to join our team.

Account Executive, Ticket Sales & Service is responsible for generating ticket revenue. The role is primarily focused on selling season seat memberships, group ticket packages and flex pack tickets through targeted prospecting, face to face meetings and your own personal network. Season seat retention will also be an area of focus for this role. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 1-2 years of outbound sales experience.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The expectation is the candidate will be active and responsible for the following areas:

  • Responsible for selling season memberships, partial plans, group outing ticket packages, suites, and premium hospitality to corporations and the general public
  • Prospect, engage and close group sales through targeted prospecting, meetings and networking channels
  • Develop and implement effective sales techniques by applying sales and service best practices, networking, prospecting, referral gathering, and personal database management
  • Meet or exceed weekly/monthly/quarterly Ticketing team revenue and prospecting goals
  • Work closely with the Ticket Operations Department to ensure accurate fulfillment of all ticket transactions
  • Participate in various Ticketing team and community events as assigned
  • Maintain accurate records in support of ticket sales and service efforts as defined by the organization
  • Positively contribute to the overall culture of the sales team
  • Other Tasks/Duties – Actively participate in all organizational game day experiences; attend all home matches and also assume other job function related duties not specifically defined in this job description as assigned by the candidate’s direct report

Measurements of Success

  1. Achieved or surpassed individual and Ticketing Team revenue goals
  2. Establish a qualified prospect base through internal provided data, cold-calling, meetings and networking
  3. Actively participate in all Ticketing Team meetings and events

QUALIFICATIONS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES, EXPERIENCE)

Job Specific Skills and Abilities:

  • The successful candidate will have an established personal and professional network of contacts in the Hamilton and Greater Hamilton Area
  • Must be a great communicator
  • Strong organizational and time management skills

  • Is positive, outgoing and enjoys sales!
  • Ability to multi-task and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Is self-motivated and gets out of bed every day excited about coming to work and driving revenue

Education and Experience:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite including PowerPoint, Word and Excel

Operations Team Member

Start Date: February 2022

The Hamilton Tiger-Cats and Forge FC are looking for energetic, passionate, and dedicated individuals to join our Operations Team. Successful applicants will join our Team in providing a world-class game-day experience throughout the 2022 season at Tim Hortons Field.

Responsibilities and Duties:                                           

  • Set-up and tear down of all game-day marketing and corporate activations
  • Set-up all premium and non-premium ticketing areas, including but not limited to the Club Level, Suite Level, and Coors Light Patio
  • Execute stadium conversion from Forge to Tiger-Cats and vice versa, including all in-bowl branding
  • Set-up of any event spaces utilized during games or on off days
  • Set-up all parking infrastructure and signage
  • Assist all other departments to ensure that the game-day experience is a success
  • Assist with stadium setup for licensee events
  • Work in a variety of weather conditions, including the possibility of inclement weather

Ideal candidates possess:

  • A charismatic, cheerful, and energetic personality
  • A strong work ethic and the ability to work well in a team environment
  • Ability to follow directions and work without direct supervision

  • Must be able to work 75% of Tiger-Cats and Forge FC games

Guest Experience Team

TERM LENGTH: April 2024 – December 2024

OVERVIEW

The Hamilton Tiger-Cats and Forge FC are looking for enthusiastic individuals to join the Guest Experience Team (GE Team) for the 2024 season! Each position plays an integral role in successfully creating and delivering a world-class guest experience at Tim Hortons Field. The GE Team works all events at Tim Hortons Field. This includes: Hamilton Tiger-Cats home games, Forge FC home games, concerts, and other sporting events.

This opportunity is perfect for anyone looking to gain experience working in event management, the sports and entertainment industry, and who enjoys working in a team and customer-facing environment.

Game day opportunities include:

  • Ticket Scanners
  • Ushers
  • Parking Attendants

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

Ticket Scanners:

  • Greet all guests entering Tim Hortons Field in a friendly manner
  • Scan tickets upon guest entry
  • Read tickets carefully to provide accurate directions to seating sections
  • Work efficiently in a team environment to minimize wait time and congestion at gates
  • Assist co-workers in other positions by covering for breaks

Ushers:

  • Check assigned section before events to ensure all seats are presentable and after events to identify any lost items
  • Correctly direct guests to their seats and to other areas of interest inside Tim Hortons Field
  • Monitor assigned sections throughout events and resolve any minor issues or concerns that arise
  • Check to ensure that nobody encroaches on guests in accessible seating
  • Hold guests at the top of the assigned section while football plays are ongoing
  • Interact and converse with guests to enhance their overall experience at the venue

Parking Attendants:

  • Ensure only guests with appropriate parking passes are permitted into the correct lots
  • Quickly process transactions for guests parking at paid lots
  • Efficiently and safely guide vehicles in an organized manner to parking spots within designated lots

Retail Sales Associate

START DATE: March 2022

OVERVIEW

If so, we want you to become a part of our team. The Hamilton Tiger-Cats and Forge FC are hiring Retail Sales Associates for the upcoming 2022 season.

POSITION DESCRIPTION

Retail Sales Associates will be responsible for providing outstanding customer service through the sales of retail merchandise at their assigned outlet. In this role, our staff will be focused on driving top line sales, strengthening an environment in which customer service is a top priority and offering our fans the best shopping experience available. Each individual will bring energy, inspiration and a drive to always be the best. Your passion, energy and excitement will be reflected through your interactions with our fans and is the foundation of our in-store culture.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

  • Assist customers with locating suitable products, sizes, styles and colours
  • Handle a variety of payment options accurately and in a timely manner through our POS system (ERPLY)
  • Maintenance, merchandising and responsibility of an assigned store location
  • Monitor customer satisfaction through interactions during sales presentations
  • Respond to customer problems with a focus on problem resolution within pre-approved limits
  • Seek customer feedback about Ticats products, services and events
  • Performs other duties as delegated or assigned by the Warehouse/Online Lead, Operations Manager, Director of Corporate Partnerships and Retail and other Senior Management
